Once you’ve installed Trezor Suite, it’s time to connect and configure your wallet:
Plug your Trezor into your computer using the provided USB cable. Trezor Suite will automatically detect your device and guide you through the next steps.
Your new Trezor may need firmware updates.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the latest version.
Confirm actions on your Trezor device to ensure it’s securely updated.
After the firmware is installed, you’ll have the option to create a new wallet.
The device will generate a 12, 18, or 24-word recovery seed. Write it down and keep it safe. This seed is your lifeline to recover your wallet if needed.
Never store your recovery seed online or share it with anyone.
Create a secure PIN to unlock your Trezor each time you use it.
For advanced security, set up a passphrase (optional). This adds an extra layer of protection.
Your Trezor wallet supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
Go to the “Accounts” tab in Trezor Suite.
Add accounts for the cryptocurrencies you wish to store.
Use the app to monitor balances, send, and receive funds.
Backup Your Recovery Seed: Store it in multiple safe locations. Consider using fireproof and waterproof storage solutions.
Keep Firmware Updated: Regular updates protect against new security threats.
Verify Transactions: Always confirm transaction details on your Trezor device before proceeding.
Stay Alert to Phishing: Only use official Trezor apps and websites, and never share your recovery seed or PIN online.
